A whirlwind of learning and growth Hochschulpraktika

Greetings, I'm Jinting, a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt, particularly specializing in Behavioural Macroeconomics and expectation formation. Currently, I've embarked on an internship journey in the Monetary Policy and Analysis Division at Bundesbank. And my working experience so far is amazing.

My main task involves working with an incredible team to develop macro models for monetary policy analysis. It's been eye-opening to bridge the gap between theoretical academia and real-world application, which is a very interesting and unique experience to me. Moreover, I really very much appreciate the supportive working atmosphere within the team. And they are not only being supportive in my work with the policy model, but they also generously provide guidance for my general Ph.D. studies and engage in discussions about my personal research interests. In my first half of my internship, it’s already have been a whirlwind of learning and growth.

What I also find amazing about Bundesbank is that it offers a rich array of activities beyond the confines of the office. For me, I joined the Bundesbank orchestra after work. Immersing myself in the music after a working day is simply the best way to recharge.
