The aim of the conference is to present state-of-the-art empirical and theoretical research on households’ consumption, saving, investment and borrowing decisions, households’ reaction to uncertainty, and expectations formation.

Further topics include the effects of monetary policy on household behaviour and the macro implications of micro behaviour. The focus will be on research that makes use of household-level data, such as wealth surveys.

Sumit Agarwal (Georgetown University) and Stefan Nagel (Chicago Booth) have agreed to give keynote lectures.
