Conference on Markets and Intermediaries Deutsche Bundesbank – Humboldt Universität
This year’s Bundesbank Autumn Conference, organised jointly with Humboldt University seeks to present high quality empirical and theoretical research contributions on challenges for financial markets, financial intermediaries, and central banks. The event will take place in Frankfurt on October 1-2. Annette Vissing-Jorgensen (Federal Reserve Board) will deliver the keynote speech.
To counter the dislocations in the financial system due to the Great Financial Crisis and the Covid-pandemic, central banks have vastly expanded their balance sheets, injected additional liquidity into financial markets and intermediaries, and broadened their collateral frameworks. These measures have affected the transmission of monetary policy as well as the functioning of money markets and capital markets and provide challenges for the design of monetary and financial policies going forward.
