Update: New courses and programme changes in 2025 CIC Newsletter – April 2025
Our programme of international central banking courses for 2025 has changed slightly. We are offering the following two new online courses, and some dates in the existing programme have been rescheduled.
NEW “Current Focus: Revisions to the Basel Core Principles – insights from the Basel Committee secretariat”
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to our new online course “Current Focus: Revisions to the Basel Core Principles”, which will take place on 9 July 2025 from 13:00 to 14:30.
We are pleased to announce that Monika Spudic, member of the secretariat of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), will present the revised Core Principles for effective banking supervision and will also provide important insights into implementation for supervisors.
This online course is aimed at colleagues at central banks and supervisory authorities who are interested in the content and implementation of the Basel Core Principles. The course is particularly useful for those working in the fields of banking supervision or financial stability.

NEW “Current focus: Climate risks for the German banking sector – the making and the results of Bundesbank’s climate risk stress test”
On 16 July 2025, our new online course “Current Focus: Climate risks for the German banking sector – the making and the results of Bundesbank’s climate risk stress test” will take place from 13:00 to 15:00. In this course, participants will learn about the Bundesbank’s latest methods and approaches for assessing climate-related risks and their impact on financial stability.
Laura-Chloé Kuntz and Christian Groß, senior ESG analysis experts at the Deutsche Bundesbank, will present the latest results of the Bundesbank’s climate-related risk stress test and provide insights into how the top-down climate stress test is conducted.
This online course is aimed at employees at central banks and supervisory authorities who are interested in supervisory stress testing and, in particular, climate stress tests at banks. The course is particularly useful for all those active in banking supervision or financial stability.
