Participation/Registration
Guiding new participants
The Onboarding Guide provided by the Eurosystem summarises all aspects that should be taken into account for new participation in TIPS. For more detailed information, the guide includes links to external documents. The Bundesbank’s Participation Guide is intended to assist new participants in completing the registration form, capturing static data in CRDM and executing the certification test cases.
Registration form
Once you have completed the registration form and signed it with legally binding effect, please send the original to your customer service team. Please find the appropriate address and contact details in case of further questions to the right. The on-boarding of new participants in TIPS can take place on any business day, after consultation. Depending on the complexity and whether it is necessary to involve any other central banks or ancillary systems, we require the original form, signed with legally binding effect, up to one month before participation in the production environment can begin. Please contact us in good time so that we can provide you with advice tailored to your individual situation. The form and a guide concerning the provision of relevant data can be found by following the link below.
Reference data guide
This brief guide is intended as an additional aid for the CRDM GUI user starting to configure the data under their responsibility, but its purpose is not, in any way, to substitute for the CRDM UHB, where you will find all the needed information to use the GUI screens (e.g. needed privileges, types of users, business rules, etc.). The document is divided into two main parts: the first is devoted to the reference data under the responsibility of the Central Bank; the second details the reference data that can be created directly by the TIPS Participants or Ancillary Systems.
Connectivity
Technical access to TIPS is facilitated via the Eurosystem Single Market Infrastructure Gateway (ESMIG), which is the main point of access to TARGET Services for all directly connected actors. Access to ESMIG is provided by the two network service providers (NSPs) selected by the Eurosystem: Nexi-Colt (formerly SIA-Colt) and SWIFT.
The exchange of messages with TIPS is described in the MEPT documents (Message Exchange Processing for TIPS).
