Private individuals

Private individuals can purchase German-issued euro collectors' coins and €2 coins with a commemorative design in mint condition at their face value at branches of the Deutsche Bundesbank during their counter opening times from the respective issue date for as long as stocks last. Alternatively, private individuals can also contact their principal banker or other credit institutions participating in the Deutsche Bundesbank’s ordering procedure, or commercial coin dealers.

There may be a limit of coins per person and day.

Credit institutions

Credit institutions have the option of ordering German-issued euro collectors' coins and €2 coins with a commemorative design in mint condition in advance from their respective Bundesbank branch.

Commercial coin dealers

Commercial coin dealers have the option of ordering German-issued euro collectors' coins and €2 coins with a commemorative design in advance by the respective order deadline from our branch in Mainz. The first time you place an order, we ask that you submit a copy of either your trade licence or the extract from the commercial register showing that you are a coin trader. The coins have to be collected from our branch in Karlsruhe within six weeks of the issue date.

For the €5 collectors' coins it has to be considered that no complete sets containing coins from all five mints will be available for purchase and there is no entitlement to a specific mint mark.
