Forms for credit data statistics (AnaCredit)
Nil report – AnaCredit
Institutions that are subject to reporting to AnaCredit but that have no qualifying instruments are required to submit nil reports to the Bundesbank.
For the sake of simplicity, it is sufficient for reporting institutions with constant nil reports to report these only once a year (at year-end).
The initial nil report of an agent permanently having no qualifying instruments has to be transmitted without delay.
Conversely, a reporting institution with constant nil reports must ensure that if the nil report ceases to apply during the year, a report is submitted immediately (i.e. at the end of the next month).
If possible, please send the relevant “Nil report” as a PDF file by email to anacredit-kreditdaten1@bundesbank.de, or alternatively by post.
Authorisation form – AnaCredit-BBk and RIAD-BBk
AnaCredit files can be submitted via ExtraNet either by the institution itself or by a third party, e.g. a service provider or the acquiring institution following a merger.
In order to ensure clear identification of the authorised submitter and thus also correct delivery of the reply messages from AnaCredit, please note that the reporting agent must submit an authorisation form to the Bundesbank if the submitter of the reports will differ from the reporting agent in future.
In the case of new third-party submitters, the reporting agent must submit an authorisation form to the Bundesbank in good time, i.e. at least two weeks before the first submission date (e.g. no later than 17 March 2021 for the reporting reference date of 31 March 2021).
If possible, please send the relevant “Authorisation form – AnaCredit” as a PDF file by email to anacredit-kreditdaten1@bundesbank.de, or alternatively by post.
Extension of the reporting deadline for international reporting agents
In accordance with No 5 of the Instruction on credit data statistics (AnaCredit), reporting agents may ask for the reporting deadline to be extended until the close of business on the ninth business day following the end of the respective month insofar as they are unable to ensure timely transmission of the monthly data (sixth business day) by way of internal cross-border reconciliation processes.
Reporting agents
- whose AnaCredit reporting includes observed agents of one and the same legal entity in different countries,
- which themselves are the legally dependent branch of a foreign bank in Germany, or
- which are subject to reporting requirements pursuant to Section 5 of Annex 1 to the Instruction on monthly balance sheet statistics (Notice No 8005/2021)
may, upon request, be granted an extension of the submission deadline 9. GT for this report until close of business on the ninth business day after the end of the respective month.
The form “Application for extension of the reporting deadline” for this purpose should be used to request said extension. The duly completed and signed form should be scanned and emailed to anacredit-kreditdaten1@bundesbank.de.
(This shall be without prejudice to the option available to observed agents that are not resident in Germany of transmitting monthly reports by the close of business on the 15th business day.)
Extension of the reporting deadline for reporting agents with more than 1 million instruments
In accordance with the amendment to No 5 of the Instruction on credit data statistics (AnaCredit) of 19th December 2023, reporting agents may ask for the reporting deadline to be extended until the close of business on the 12th business day following the end of the respective month. This is conditional on the fact that the number of 1 million eligible instruments has been exceeded in the past 6 consecutive monthly reporting reference dates.
The form “Application for extension of the reporting deadline 9. GT” (only available in German) for this purpose should be used to request said extension. The duly completed and signed form should be scanned and emailed to anacredit-kreditdaten1@bundesbank.de.
