You’re not working at just any bank.
You’re working at the banks’ bank.
As a central bank, we operate at the heart of the international financial markets and at the interfaces of politics, economics and academia. As a state-of-the-art institution with a hand in digitalisation and social change, we always aspire to be at the forefront of developments to ensure that our currency remains stable for the common good.
As an employer, we are also committed to a special responsibility: we put our employees first, because our success is founded on their knowledge, their skills and their contributions. Of course, by that we do not only mean employees with banking or business qualifications.
Careers at the Bank – not only for banking professionals
Our team also includes data researchers, experts with an engineering or IT background and many other specialists. Bundesbank employees work in an environment of openness and trust. This is the only way to create a community with a common goal: that of acting sustainably and consistently.

It also entails personal discovery and growth – both as an employee and as an individual. To this end, we wish to offer you the right opportunities to develop professionally and personally. Working at the Bundesbank is different. We challenge the common understanding of work. Expertise or instinct? Security or variety? Ambition or stability? In that case, your motivation and our goals should align over the long term.
-

For diversity in leadership
We are committed to living diversity. That is why we encourage diversity in our staff across the board and have set ourselves the goal of increasing the share of women in leadership positions. Women already account for more than one-quarter of our managers, and the percentage is rising. How have we achieved this? With early talent promotion, practical seminars and mentoring programmes, amongst other efforts.
Inclusion and accessibility at work
People with disabilities are strongly encouraged to become part of our team and enrich the Bundesbank! We have entered into an internal inclusion agreement that goes beyond statutory provisions. This lets us ensure independent and equal work for (severely) disabled people, promote active health management, facilitate accessibility and provide all the necessary technical resources to enable disabled people to devote themselves to their tasks at the Bank.
