Thomas is responsible for all topics concerning cash management.

Prior to his current position at the CIC, he was deputy head of the division which covers all matters of branch operations, IT application and cash automation; he also served as head of section during his 17 years in Directorate General Cash Management. Previously, he worked at a regional office as a project manager for cash issues, especially the introduction of the euro, and in branches, mainly in the cash area, recently as deputy director. Thomas also worked for the Bundesbank as a bank supervisor for several years.

He joined the Bundesbank in 1987, studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences, and is lecturer at the University for international projects and change management in cash issues.
