Karin joined the Centre for International Central Bank Dialogue (CIC) in 2023 as senior advisor for banking supervision. At the CIC, Karin is responsible for all bilateral activities and international courses on banking supervision.

She started her career at the Deutsche Bundesbank in 1997. For 23 years, she worked in various positions in the area of banking supervision, covering especially policy and supervisory gremia topics. In 2021 – 2022, she worked at ECB Banking Supervision in the Directorate Strategy and Supervisory Risk. Karin holds a Master in Business Administration. Before her studies, she worked at a German credit institution.
