The various locations of the Deutsche Bundesbank have different artistic focuses which contribute to the depth and variety of its art collection. The Central Office and several of the Regional Offices have sizeable holdings of regional artists' works that testify to the Bank’s ties with a particular location, as well as a wealth of pictures that offer a rich source of art for display in conference rooms and staff members' offices.

In addition, the architecture of many of the buildings themselves is remarkable. For instance, the Regional Office in Berlin and Brandenburg is based in a listed building, while the Regional Office in Hesse is located in a harmonious post-modern ensemble of buildings.
