INEXDA, which is short for the International Network for Exchanging Experience on Statistical Handling of Granular Data, is an international cooperative project enabling an exchange of experiences in the statistical handling of granular data for research purposes. The term "statistical handling" covers issues such as the accessibility of data and metadata, techniques for the statistical analysis of granular data, procedures for the confidentiality and security of data, and methods of output control. INEXDA promotes the G20 Data Gaps Initiative II (DGI-2), in particular recommendation 20, addressing the accessibility of granular data.

INEXDA provides a framework for investigating possible methods of harmonising access procedures and metadata structures, developing comparable structures for existing data and further fostering the efficiency of statistical work with granular data. Its ultimate aim is to facilitate the use of granular data for analytical, research and comparative purposes by users outside the participating institutions, within the limits set by the applicable confidentiality regulations. In a Memorandum of Understanding, the signing central banks have agreed to take part in a pilot exercise which envisages, first, an extensive stock-taking of available datasets and existing procedures and, second, an investigation of possible means of achieving harmonisation at different levels.

INEXDA was launched in January 2017. The INEXDA secretariat is currently based at the Deutsche Bundesbank. It was previously based at the Banque de France.
