Germany’s current account recorded a surplus of €2.5 billion in May 2022, down €6.4 billion on the previous month’s level. Although the surplus in the goods account increased, this was outweighed by the sharp shift into a deficit for invisible current transactions, which comprise services as well as primary and secondary income.

Im Oktober 2018 wies die Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 23 Mrd € auf (nach 18 Mrd € im Vormonat).

Im Juni 2018 wies die Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets – wie bereits im Vormonat – einen Überschuss von 24 Mrd € auf. In den zwölf Monaten bis Juni 2018 wurde in der Leistungsbilanz ein Überschuss von 406 Mrd € (3,6 % des BIP des Euroraums) verzeichnet, verglichen mit 352 Mrd € (3,2 % des BIP des Euroraums) im Zwölfmonatszeitraum bis Juni 2017.

Germany’s current account surplus dropped by €2 billion to €245½ billion in 2019. As a percentage of German gross domestic product (GDP), the balance sank to 7¼ percent.

In April 2022, Germany’s current account recorded a surplus of €7.4 billion, down €11.3 billion on the previous month’s level. In den zwölf Monaten bis Mai 2018 wurde in der Leistungsbilanz ein Überschuss von 406 Mrd € (3,6 % des BIP des Euroraums) verzeichnet, verglichen mit 360 Mrd € (3,2 % des BIP des Euroraums) im Zwölfmonatszeitraum bis Mai 2017. In der Kapitalbilanz beliefen sich die Nettokäufe ausländischer Wertpapiere durch Gebietsansässige im Zwölfmonatszeitraum bis Mai 2018 auf 548 Mrd € (nach 476 Mrd € in den zwölf Monaten bis Mai 2017), während der Nettoerwerb von Wertpapieren aus dem Euroraum durch Gebietsfremde bei 216 Mrd € lag (nach 189 Mrd € in den zwölf Monaten bis Mai 2017).

Im Dezember 2018 wies die Leistungsbilanz des Euro-Währungsgebiets einen Überschuss von 16 Mrd € auf (nach 23 Mrd € im Vormonat).
