On the basis of selected empirical analyses, the September 2019 Monthly Report explains the impact that wages have on prices in Germany and features an analysis of detailed state government budget figures for 2018. The December 2017 edition of the Bundesbank's Monthly Report outlines the prospects for the German economy on the basis of macroeconomic projections for 2018 and 2019, with a look ahead at the year 2020. It also analyses German enterprises’ profitability and financing in 2016 as well as corporate margins in selected European countries and takes a look at the Eurosystem’s financial market infrastructure, focusing on the range of services likely to be offered in the future.

The December 2013 Monthly Report comments on the outlook for the German economy as macroeconomic projections for 2014 and 2015. In addition, an analysis of the German enterprises’ profitability and financing in 2012 is included; furthermore an outlook for European retail payments (SEPA) is described and the new importance of repo markets in a changing financial system is reconsidered.

The June 2014 edition of the Monthly Report explains – beside the outlook for the German economy as macroeconomic projections for 2014 and 2015 – Europe’s new recovery and resolution regime for credit institutions. It furthermore comments on the changes in the methodology and classification of the balance of payments and the international investment position. In the end, cash withdrawals at the point of sale against the background of motives for use and implications for cash holding are described.

The Monthly Report for June 2013 outlines the outlook for the German economy in 2013 and 2014 and includes an article on household wealth and finances in Germany based on the results of a Bundesbank study as well as a report on the implementation of Basel III in European and national law.
