Credit data statistics (AnaCredit)
Content of the report
AnaCredit comprises the collection of credit and credit risk data at single borrower (borrower-by-borrower) and loan (loan-by-loan) level. As far as AnaCredit is concerned, the term "credit" encompasses loans and advances as well as bills of exchange. These are referred to as "credit data" in the following. Credit data are collected separately as credit master data and dynamic credit data. Negotiable securities are not part of AnaCredit but are collected as part of securities holdings statistics.
Parties required to report
The reports are to be submitted to the Deutsche Bundesbank by credit institutions resident in Germany as well as by branches that are resident in Germany but that belong to credit institutions resident abroad.

Submission Deadlines
Monthly reporting data are to be transmitted as follows:
- For observed agents that are resident in Germany:
- by the close of business on the sixth business day;
- or by the close of business on the 9th business day if an extended submission deadline pursuant to No (5) of the Instruction on credit data statistics (AnaCredit), Notice No 8001/2020, has been granted;
- or by the close of business on the 12th business day if an extended submission deadline in accordance with the amendment to No (5) of the Instruction on credit data statistics (AnaCredit), Notice No 8003/2023, has been granted.
- For observed agents that are resident abroad: by the close of business on the fifteenth business day.”
Quarterly reporting data are to be transmitted as follows:
- Data for Q1: by the close of business on 12 May of the same year.
- Data for Q2: by the close of business on 11 August of the same year.
- Data for Q3: by the close of business on 11 November of the same year.
- Data for Q4: by the close of business on 11 February of the following year.

Public holidays as well as Saturdays and Sundays were taken into account when determining the submission deadlines. This means that in addition to nationwide public holidays, regional public holidays are also included.
