Application documents and guide on completing the application form

Interested researchers are invited to submit an informal application comprising:

• a short cover letter;
• a curriculum vitae with a list of research activities; and
• a fully completed application form, which can be found at the bottom of this page,

to the RDSC (fdsz-data@bundesbank.de).

Special procedure for requesting PHF data

There is a separate application procedure for the use of Panel on Household Finances (PHF) data, information on which you can find at the link at the bottom of this page.

Encryption

When completing your application, please note the following: as the application form for research data contains personal information, we recommend that you send it to us as an encrypted email attachment. We likewise recommend that you encrypt all other documents containing personal information that you send to the Bundesbank.

We suggest that you use 7-Zip encryption software, which can be downloaded free of charge. Instructions on how to encrypt documents using 7-Zip software can be found below.
