Analytical Credit Datasets (AnaCredit) – German Part
The Analytical Credit Datasets (AnaCredit) – German Part is a comprehensive research dataset provided by the Deutsche Bundesbank. It encompasses the German part of the Analytical Credit Datasets (AnaCredit), a detailed statistical credit reporting system within the Eurosystem. The German part of AnaCredit includes data on individual loans reported by credit institutions based in Germany, as well as by foreign branches of German institutions and legally independent institutional units domiciled in Germany, regardless of the location of their parent entities. In addition to granular credit and credit risk data, it contains information on all parties involved in the loan as creditors, debtors, and/or collateral providers.
Available datasets
The AnaCredit dataset consists of three datasets:
- anacredit_instruments: This is the main table for users of the dataset. It consolidates information on the instruments but not on the collateral, and includes one row per creditor-debtor combination per instrument (per reporting month).
- anacredit_protections_by_provider: Contains information on the collateral and collateral providers.
- anacredit_protections_instruments: Contains aggregated information on collateral at the instrument level.
Units worth protecting
All parties (and its identifiers) involved in the loan must be protected. Additional entities to be protected depend on the specific data used.
