The Deutsche Bundesbank will host its seventh International Cash Conference in Hannover, Germany, from 27 to 29 May 2026.

Experts from academia, public authorities (including central banks), special interest groups and the private sector are invited to present their cash-related research papers. The programme will be headed by high-level keynote speakers.

As there are only a limited number of places, participation is conditional upon receiving written confirmation from the Deutsche Bundesbank after successfully registering your interest.

Please understand that the event forms a protected scientific environment and therefore takes place under the exclusion of the press.

Nature of conference

The event will commence with a welcome reception on the evening of 26 May 2026, and will continue from 27 to 29 May 2026 with lectures and discussions.

The conference will be held in English; all papers will thus be available in English only. Conference participation is free of charge. We do not intend to publish the papers in a conference volume after the conference.
