The Research Centre employs about 30 full-time research economists. In addition, other departments of the Bundesbank such as the Directorate General Banking and Financial Supervision, the Economics Department and the Financial Stability Department employ economists who are also concerned with research-oriented work. Moreover, economists from the Bundesbank and guest researchers from outside the bank complement the team during fixed-term research visits.
