Bundesbank Executive Board Member Burkhard Balz and Governor of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Learn more about our close cooperation with the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

An official change of office ceremony took place in South Africa, with Jens Fuhrmann replacing Eugen Cleveland as Bundesbank representative at the German Embassy in Pretoria. Read more about the background of this cooperation and plans for the future.

In early September, a delegation from the Deutsche Bundesbank travelled to Istanbul to discuss aspects of central bank digital currencies (CBDC) with the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) and other stakeholders.
